TERMS AND CONDITIONS: As a student of Fame Sing Academy, I or my child agree to the following terms and conditions:
A. The following are the terms and conditions of classes at Fame Sing Academy.
1. For any absence from a class without prior notice, the class fee for that class will be deducted as usual and no make-up class will be offered.
2. Students must follow the Typhoon and Special Circumstances Arrangement Policy of the Fame Sing Academy.
3. Classes/performances/rehearsals may be videotaped/voice-recorded/photographed, and Fame Sing Academy reserves the right to use all materials for archival and publicity purposes.
B. Class Arrangements
Regular Classes
Examination Classes
ABRSM Grade 1: 40 lessons per course (8 lessons per semester, 5 semesters in total)
ABRSM Grade 2: 40 lessons in one course (8 lessons per semester, 5 semesters in total).
ABRSM Grade 3: 40 classes in one course (8 classes per semester, 5 semesters in total)
ABRSM Grade 4: 40 classes in one course (8 classes per semester, 5 semesters in total)
ABRSM Grade 5: 40 classes in one course (8 classes per semester, 5 semesters in total)
Short Courses
Disney Class (Please refer to our website for course information)
Princess Performance Class (Please refer to our website for course information)
Christmas Performance Class (Please refer to our website for course information)
Hong Kong Schools Music Festival Class (Please refer to our website for program information)
C. Leave of Absence
📍Please apply for leave (sick leave or casual leave) by filling out the Google Form [ https://forms.gle/EhrDBibm5nYujL3dA ], and after filling out the form, please take a screenshot and send to WhatsApp : 6076 5103 for our staff's record, and make sure to notify us before the start of the class. Please note that we do not accept verbal notifications of absense. If you are late for a class, please inform us as soon as possible. If we do not receive any notification of absence or late notice 15 minutes after the start of the class, we will regard that as truanting and the fee will be deducted as usual.
Exam Classes
🔵 Examination course start with the first student on the first day of class. Please note that drop-in students will not be able to attend all 40 classes, so if you need to have more lessons after the end of the course, you can discuss it with the teacher after the class ends (please check with us on Whatsapp).
🔵 If you need to take leave (e.g. school field day, interview, etc.), please notify us at least 3 days in advance (based on the time of Google Form), the tuition fee for that class will not be deducted, and the tuition fee you have already paid can be transferred to next semester. Please note that absentees will not be able to attend all 40 classes. [If parents do not notify us at least 3 days in advance, there will be no refund or make-up classes.]
🔵Please provide us with a doctor's note if you are on sick leave. Please be sure to notify us before the start of class. Please note that absentees will not be able to attend all 40 classes.
🔵If case students need make-up classes due to absence, please consult with the teacher after completing the assigned classes (40 weeks) to see if you need extra classes, and ask us for the extra class fee.
🔵When the teacher takes leave, the lesson will be substituted by another teacher or postponed.
🔵If a class is canceled due to bad weather, a make-up class will be arranged at the end of the course (e.g., if December 30th is the last class, the class will be made up on January 6th).
🔵If you need to withdraw from the course / after completing a semester, please notify us through Whatsapp 7 days prior, and no refunds will be given for the remaining classes.
🔵If you need time to think about whether or not to continue after completing a lesson, please notify us on or before the last lesson of that lesson. Otherwise, we will consider the next lesson as truancy, and the lesson fee will be deducted as usual.
Short-term Courses
🔵 No make-up classes will be offered to absent students, and the tuition fee paid cannot be deferred. If you wish to transfer to another time, we will provide you with a choice of joining other classes for a handling fee of $100 per session.
🔵 If parents need to apply for a tuition refund for any reason after classes have started, we will charge an administrative fee of $300 and return the balance to the parents within two weeks; Regarding "transfer": If parents need to apply for a tuition refund for any reason after classes have started If you need to transfer a class, we will charge an administrative fee of $100 for each class transfer. There is no upper limit on the number of times and dates for "transfer". Please confirm the classroom time and date with our colleagues before "transfer". You need to give one week's notice of transfer. We will arrange the transfer according to the latest timetable. The transfer arrangement must be completed within one month. Our academy will start classes within the week before, and parents will be notified of class time and date via WhatsApp. If there are insufficient or too many students enrolled in certain courses, the college will contact parents to make arrangements for class adjustment or a full refund.
D. Refunding and Switching lessons:
🔵If the number of people in singing classes is insufficient, the class cannot be formed. The Academy will notify parents two days in advance and provide them with choices of other classes that have been successfully formed. Parents may choose to switch to another class with a different date and time (hereinafter referred to as "switching"), or they may request a full refund from us before the class starts. This refund will not be subject to any administrative fees, and we will refund the full amount to parents within two weeks;
E. Trial Classes
🔵We do not provide trial classes for short-term courses; students are required to enroll in the entire course.
🔵Please sign up for trial classes with our admin staff.
🔵Please notify us within three days after completing the trial class on whether or not the student will continue attending this class (please contact us via WhatsApp: 6076 5103). If you do not notify us within 3 days, we will assume that the student will not continue to attend the class and will not reserve a seat for the student.
F. Bad Weather.
🔵Amber and Red Rainstorm warning: All kindergarten, primary and secondary school students will attend classes as usual.
🔵Black Rainstorm warning: Classes will be suspended immediately after the signal is issued by the Hong Kong Observatory. Classes will be postponed, and classes in progress will continue. Students are advised to stay at the Academy until it is safe for them to go home.
🔵Typhoon Signal No. 1 and No. 3: All kindergarten, primary and secondary school students will attend classes as usual.
🔵Typhoon Signal No. 8 or above: Classes will be suspended immediately after the signal is issued by the Hong Kong Observatory, classes will be postponed.
*Parents can decide according to the weather conditions in their area. If you need to take a vacation due to inclement weather, please contact us.
G. Public Holidays.
🔵 The Academy is closed on public holidays and classes will be postponed. (please note that if the holiday falls on a Sunday, classes will be held as usual and the Academy will be closed on the following Monday, except for Christmas on 25/12 (Sun) and Lunar New Year's Day - Fourth Day of Lunar New Year) Parents may refer to the Academy's Holiday Notice posted on 8/F.
H. Enrollment Procedures
1. Please fill out the online enrollment form or enroll by contacting the admin staff of the Academy, and then pay the fee through the payment methods provided. Once the fee has been received, the Academy will issue an Official Receipt to confirm the enrollment.
2. If the class is full, you will have to wait until one of the students drops out or moves up to a new class.
3. After your enrollment has been confirmed by the administrative staff, you are required to abide by the terms and conditions of the program.
In case of any dispute, we shall refer to the Chinese version of the Terms and Conditions.
Fame Sing Academy reserves the right to make the final decision on all terms and conditions.
