Gigi Lam obtained her Bachelor of Arts in Journalism, Media & Cultural Studies degree with 1st class honours at the Middlesex University, London in 2015 and her Master of Arts in Music degree majoring in voice studies at the Chinese University of Hong Kong in 2016.  Lam studied voice performance under the tutelage of Louise Kwong and Chen Chen, and received the Licentiate of Trinity College London (LTCL) in singing with distinction. 

Lam actively joined Music Office Youth Choir, SingFest Chamber Chorus and Hong Kong Festival Voices in her early years.  Lam also volunteered as the press secretary and translator at the Hong Kong Festival Orchestra & Voices while pursuing her studies.

Lam has made a number of concert performances. This includes her soprano solo of West Side Story with the Hong Kong Metropolitan Pop Orchestra. She also performed as backing singer in Video Games Live™, Kingdom Hearts Orchestra World Tour, TwoSet Violin World Tour and RubberBand x HKFO Live by the Harbour in Hong Kong. 

Lam is currently a freelance classical voice tutor, music editor, as well as the chorus manager at the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra.
