2019

 Nicole Xia is now a sophomore majoring in keyboard at the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts (HKAPA) under the guidance of pianist Dr. Tao Chang. She has also received guidance from Professor Gabriel Kwok, pianist Huang, Naiwei of HKAPA, and Professor Graham Scott, Head of Piano Department of Northern Royal College of Music.

  In addition to majoring in piano performance, Nicole also has rich experience in collaborative piano. She has performed collaborative performances with guzheng, erhu, violin, cello, clarinet and other instruments, as well as performing with vocal and opera.

  Before entering HKAPA in 2023, she attended the Piano Department of the High School Affiliated to Guangzhou Xinghai Conservatory of Music, under pianist Zhang, Linna and Dr. Liu, Yuntian，who was the first winner of the Jinzhong Award. She also received guidance of Pianist Sun, Jay, and Pianist Huang, Yewei from Guangzhou Xinghai Conservatory of Music.

  She was among the winners of First Prize of Shanghai International Youth Piano Competition in 2019, the Second Prize of Piano Competition of Zhejiang Conservatory of Music in 2019, and the Third Prize of Guangdong Piano Society Cup.
